New battery with on/off switch
In addendum to our 7/31/15 battery blog below, Plantronics will be discontinuing the current battery (PL-84598-01) for Savi wireless headsets. The replacement (PL-204755-01) has an on/off switch. BTP originally thought both batteries would be available going forward, but the current battery will be obsoleted once inventory is depleted.
The new battery is compatible with all Plantronics wireless headsets that the current battery works with: W740/45, W440/45, and CS540-XD. It comes with the battery in the on position as pictured, separate and ready to be snapped onto the headset. When moved to the off position, the green turns to black.
