Problem: The Savi 8220 headset is having trouble pairing with your mobile phone.

Applicable to: Savi 8210, Savi 8220, Savi 8240, Savi 8245

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

Check Bluetooth Settings: Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile. You can do this by going to Settings > Bluetooth and ensuring the toggle switch is turned on.

Put Savi 8220 in Pairing Mode: To pair your base and mobile phone, first power on your headset. Press and hold the
Bluetooth pairing button on the base for 4 seconds until the Bluetooth LED flashes red and
blue. This indicates that the headset is in pairing mode.

Scan for Devices: On your mobile, go to Settings > Bluetooth. Your mobile should now scan for nearby Bluetooth devices. Look for “Savi 8220 / Poly Savi. ” in the list of available devices and select it to initiate the pairing process.

Follow On-Screen Instructions: Once you select “Savi 8220 / Poly Savi,” your mobile will attempt to pair with the headset. Follow any on-screen prompts to complete the pairing process.

Reset Bluetooth Connections: If the pairing process fails, you can try resetting the Bluetooth connections on your mobile.

For iOS (iPhone/iPad):
Open Settings: Tap on the Settings app.
Go to Bluetooth: Select “Bluetooth” from the list of settings.
Find the Device: Locate the Bluetooth device you want to forget in the list of paired devices.
Forget the Device: Tap the information icon (i) next to the device name, then tap “Forget This Device.” Confirm your choice if prompted.

For Android:
Open Settings: Tap on the Settings app.
Go to Bluetooth: Select “Connections” or “Connected devices,” then tap “Bluetooth.”
Find the Device: Locate the Bluetooth device you want to forget in the list of paired devices.
Forget the Device: Tap the settings icon (gear or three-dot menu) next to the device name, then tap “Forget” or “Unpair.” Confirm your choice if prompted.

Update Firmware: Ensure your Savi 8220 headset has installed the latest firmware. You can update the firmware using the Poly lens application or Plantronics hub.

Try Another Device: If possible, pair the Savi 8200 headset with another device, such as a different smartphone or computer, to see if the issue persists. This can help determine whether the headset or your mobile is the problem.
