What you might experience: If you are using a Blackwire USB headset and do not hear audio in one or more of the ear cups; or the remote end says they cannot hear you, please follow the steps in this article to ensure all the connections are intact.

1. Proper Connection Pattern

For optimal performance, we recommend the following connection procedure for your wired headset:

First, securely attach your headset to the inline control unit. Ensure that the connection is firm and stable.

Next, directly connect the inline control unit to your laptop’s USB port. This direct connection is crucial for ensuring that your device receives adequate power and connectivity for optimal functionality.

2. Ensuring Correct Jack Connection

If your headset utilizes a 3.5mm jack:

Carefully insert the 3.5mm jack into the appropriate audio port on your device. It’s important to ensure that the jack is fully seated and properly aligned. A partial or loose connection can result in microphone issues, including the problem where your voice is not transmitted.

By following these steps, you should be able to address the microphone issue with your Blackwire headset. If the problem persists, please do not hesitate to contact our support team for further assistance. We’re here to help ensure that your headset works flawlessly for all your communication needs.

If these steps don’t resolve the issue, for further assistance call BTPI at 800-457-4287 or email us at info@btpi.com
