The Blackwire 5200 series headset audio is not working

What you might experience: If you are using a Blackwire USB headset and do not hear audio in one or more of the ear cups; or the remote end says they cannot hear you, please follow the steps in this article to ensure all the connections are intact.

1. Proper Connection Pattern

For optimal performance, we recommend the following connection procedure for your wired headset:

First, securely attach your headset to the inline control unit. Ensure that the connection is firm and stable.

Next, directly connect the inline control unit to your laptop’s USB port. This direct connection is crucial for ensuring that your device receives adequate power and connectivity for optimal functionality.

2. Ensuring Correct Jack Connection

If your headset utilizes a 3.5mm jack:

Carefully insert the 3.5mm jack into the appropriate audio port on your device. It’s important to ensure that the jack is fully seated and properly aligned. A partial or loose connection can result in microphone issues, including the problem where your voice is not transmitted.
