Headset Base Disconnecting from PC Between Calls

Problem: When using my Savi office headset with my PC, the headset will drop connection after each call. How can I keep it connected with the PC between calls?

Your Poly/Plantronics headset’s connectivity is controlled by the base station, and that means it’s responsible for your how your headset connects for softphone calls when connected to the PC. Because those office base stations have more than one channel, it closes the channel when a call ends by default. This is a setting that can be changed, read below for how.

Solution:

-First, you’d need to download the Plantronics Hub application.

-Once that’s downloaded, open the application while your headset base is connected to your PC.

-Once in the application, navigate to the Settings tab, and to the General tab.

-Within the General tab, there are a few settings to note: Audio Sensing, Default Line, and Headset to PC Radio Link.

-Set Audio Sensing to “ON.”

-Set Default Line to “PC.”

-Set Headset to PC Radio Link to “Always Active.”

-Press the orange APPLY button to keep your settings.

Outcome: The PC channel should stay continuously active between softphone calls now.
