Problem: Bluetooth headset is powered on, paired with its dongle, and I can hear the prompts through the headset, but I can’t hear sounds from the PC.
If you can hear the prompts from the headset such as “Power On, Battery High, PC Connected” or similar, the headset is working properly. The USB dongle for the headset should be lit up, and either solid blue or purple. Now we need to narrow down why there’s no sound coming from the PC to the headset.
Things to Try:
-Make sure the headset or its USB dongle are chosen as the default sound device within the PC.
-Check that the sound device isn’t muted within the PC sound settings.
-Turn the headset off, place it in its charge cradle for a few moments, power it back on and try again.
-Make sure the headset base is plugged into the PC via USB cable, and that the device can be seen in the available audio devices within the PC’s sound settings.
Outcome: You can hear streaming audio or notifications from the PC through the headset and can make a test call from a softphone.
