Headset or speaker stopped working

  1. Verify headset or speaker is plugged into USB port. If it’s wireless, verify the dongle has a blue light meaning it’s paired
  2. Verify it is selected as the Primary Device in SfB: left-click the audio icon at the bottom-left corner of main SfB window > if  your device does not have a box around it, left-click on it and it will become the default
  3. Verify Windows sound settings: from Windows desktop > Right-click Speaker icon (beside time clock on tool bar in the lower-right corner of screen) > select Playback devices > select your device in the list “ look for a green check icon next to it and the words Default Device. Do the same in the Recording tab to the right of Playback tab.If your device is not set as the default, it needs to be changed:  right-click on your device in the list > select Set as Default Device. Do the same in the Recording tab to the right of the Playback tab.
